Hillcrest

The Concept

This project was about life, joy, and celebrating friends and family. Our brief was to create a warm and inviting atmosphere in a small space, which we expanded by seamlessly integrating the garden with the interior. We approached the landscaping as we would an interior, adding structure and defining spaces to extend the living area onto a new deck. Inside, our aim was to achieve a fully 'lived-in' appearance something rustic and well worn.

For the kitchen, we sourced marble from a bakery in Paris for the countertops and repurposed an antique gun counter, also from Paris, into a central kitchen island. Both pieces, each over a century old, required careful restoration before installation in our client's home.

Our design attention extended to details such as balustrades and awnings for the rear of the house, and we provided guidance on landscaping in this area as well. The overall ambiance of this home reflects the vibrant life and diverse interests of our clients, capturing their essence in every aspect of the design.
