The concept

We strove to create a workspace with a balance between the structure and atmosphere of the historic building, interplayed with a relaxed and casual feeling that encapsulates the personality of Northern European flavor and the vibe of the West Coast of America for our client. The environment pays attention to the composition of natural light, wind currents, and the rhythmic flow of city life, aiming for a harmonious working aesthetic.

It was important that the inhabitants felt connected and supported within a fluid workspace. The interior was commissioned to dispel conventional ideas of a lawyer's office and instead reflect the adventurous and individual character of our client, emphasizing his warm and trusting relationships with his clients through a thoughtful curation of furniture and objects.

We designed and crafted steel doors for the director's office and boardroom, which helped establish a more open feel within the space. We sympathetically added timber paneling to the walls, along with ceiling roses and cornices on the ceiling. The floor was colored with a designer's hand and laid with a craftsman's touch. The stair runner was designed with our client's logo, and rugs within the reception were interwoven with bamboo and silk. Both of these pieces were bespoke, unique, and one of a kind.
