Lizelle Smit

Lizelle’s interest in design was ignited in London, working in high-end fashion alongside influencers Bella Freud and Tony Cappiello.

On arrival in New Zealand, Lizelle studied Interior Design at Unitec, then worked for architects in Auckland, as well as in soft furnishing design and production - with a particular focus on textiles. Lizelle is passionate about creating spaces that are focused on the holistic needs of her clients, while respecting the structure and heritage of the buildings they inhabit. Fashion has taught her that mood and drama are important - and she balances these with the use of natural materials to create honest, intelligent designs that are both timeless, and elegant.

An excellent listener, Lizelle keeps client needs at the forefront -managing time, costs, and quality in an entirely transparent manner. Her solutions keep sustainability in mind, are practical and liveable, and yet often transform the ways clients interact with their spaces.
